During the match, Wyatt was barely involved in a match, and as a result, Lesnar essentially had a 1-on-1 match with Harper.
On today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was suggested that the reason for this is because WWE is planning to save Wyatt vs. Lesnar for after WrestleMania 32, and did not want to give away any altercations between the two prior to their rumored upcoming match.
“The Eater of Worlds” vs. “The Conqueror” had been one of the rumored matches for WrestleMania, before it was announced that Lesnar will be facing Dean Ambrose at the event. In a recent interview, Wyatt commented that he would rather have the opportunity to face Lesnar at the “Granddaddy of Them All.”
Editor’s Note:
If this match does not happen at WrestleMania, where does this leave Bray Wyatt? An idea that was suggested to me recently that Wyatt could still get himself involved in one of the main event matches, despite not actually being on the card. This could be very intelligent booking, and could set up something for Wyatt after the big dance.
