I don’t know if anything should be read into this, but the news is the news. According to a new report from TMZDwayne “The Rock” Johnson is going to be paid twice as much as his female co-star, Emily Blunt, in their upcoming movie, Jungle Cruise.

The report says that The Rock is getting $22 million to play the lead male character, Frank, while Blunt is only getting $9 million to play the lead female, Lily.

It has been a long time since we’ve seen The Rock in a WWE ring; he spoke about this at the premiere of his movie Skyscraper:

The Rock talks about getting back into a WWE ring

Johnson is currently Hollywood’s second highest-paid actor, behind Daniel Craig of the James Bond movie franchise.

He has been rumored to return to WWE in 2019, but nothing is confirmed at this point.

Editor’s Opinion:

I wouldn’t read too much into this, even though the gender gap has bene prevalent in Hollywood for years. The Rock is one of the top movies in the world and his salary will reflect that, no matter what movie he is in.

What do you think of The Rock being paid more than twice his female co-star? Leave us a comment below, or post a comment on our Facebook page! Also, be sure to sign up for our newsletter and download our App from your favorite App Store!
