I hope that he gets better really soon. According to a series of tweets from AEW President and CEO Tony Khan, Jon Moxley will be taking some time away from professional wrestling and entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program.
Khan tweeted out the following in regards to Moxley:
Jon Moxley has allowed me to share with you that he is entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Jon is a beloved member of the AEW family. We all stand with him and Renee, and all of his family and friends, as he shifts his focus to recovery.
Jon is making a very brave choice to get help, and we’re embracing his choice and supporting him however we can.
I’m proud to call Jon a friend, and like many of you, I’m also a fan of Mox and look forward to a time in the future when he is eventually ready to return to the ring. Until then, thank you for supporting Jon and respecting his privacy at this time.
If you or a loved one need help, please reach out to SAMHSA’s National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357).

Moxley is currently competing in the AEW Men’s World Title Eliminator Tournament; it is unknown what his status will be for that event at this time. Check out what he did on Dynamite this week:
We at Wrestling Rumors wish a speedy recovery for Moxley and hope to see him back in an AEW ring very soon!
Editor’s Opinion:
Whether you approve or don’t approve of what he does in the ring, everyone should be applauding and standing with him as he seeks treatment. The first step on the road to recovery of anything is admitting that there is a problem and recognizing that help is needed, and Moxley has done that. I hope that once he beats this thing, he can be an inspiration to so many others that are afraid to seek help. We are all rooting for Jon Moxley and hope to see him again very soon!
