Earlier tonight, Paul Heyman, the advocate for Brock Lesnar, made an appearance on “Monday Night Raw,” and issued an open challenge to Goldberg. Almost immediately after the conclusion of Heyman’s promo, “The Man” sent out the following tweet:

This means that for the first time since 2004, Goldberg will appear on WWE programming. He was victorious over Lesnar in a match at WrestleMania XX that year, with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin serving as the guest referee.
Heyman initially appeared on “Raw” this evening to respond to the comments made by Goldberg on “Off The Top Rope” with Jonathan Coachman on ESPN last week. During the interview, Goldberg said that while he doesn’t owe Lesnar a rematch after defeating him at WrestleMania, he would like the opportunity to work with him again.
“The Beast” was last seen on WWE programming at “SummerSlam” earlier this year. He unleashed a fury of rage unlike anything that had been seen in a long time on his opponent, Randy Orton. The match ended in controversial fashion, as Orton bled profusely, causing the referee to stop the match and award Lesnar the victory via TKO.
Editor’s Note:
I honestly can’t believe this is happening. While I have to admit that I don’t feel that a match between the two would be entertaining, the nostalgia that I will feel when Goldberg’s music hits next week will be unbelievable. It will easily be one of the top moments of 2016. WE GET TO SEE “THE MAN!!!!!!”
