Bring her on board. WWE has signed many of its biggest stars to Legends deals, ensuring their legacy with the company will last long. The company has recently continued that trend.
According to a report from Double Take Sports, WWE Hall of Famer Jacqueline has signed a new Legends deal with the company. This contract allows her to represent WWE at various events and promotions, celebrating her legacy in the industry.
Jacqueline is recognized as one of the toughest women in wrestling history, known for her fearless approach in the ring. She began her career in the Memphis territory before gaining national attention in WCW in 1997, where she shocked audiences by teaming with Kevin Sullivan and showcasing her wrestling skills against male competitors.
In the summer of 1998, Jacqueline joined WWE, aligning with Marc Mero to challenge Sable. She won the WWE Women’s Championship twice, notably defeating Sable and later cutting off her hair as a trophy. Beyond her wrestling, Jacqueline served as a referee and trainer, notably on the first season of “Tough Enough.”
She also made history by winning the WWE Cruiserweight Title after defeating Chavo Guerrero. Although she left WWE in June 2004, Jacqueline’s influence on women’s wrestling has been significant, culminating in her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is a great move for WWE, as I’ve always been a big fan. She had the look, athleticism, and personality to be a success, and was able to do great things while she was there. She will be a wonderful ambassador for the company and I look forward to seeing how this comes to fruition!
