Another former football superstar is trying his hand at professional wrestling. Multiple sources are reporting that former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee has signed a multi-year deal with WWE.
He talked about it on the Pat McAfee show, and said the following:
“WWE has formally offered me a multi-year contract,” McAfee said. “Who knows what we’re going to be doing over there, they just want me to come make some content. And we’ll see where it goes.
“I am very excited for this,” he added. “This is a dream come true.”
He is not the first superstar to make the transition from football to wrestling, and it seemed to work out pretty well for others who have tried it:
It had been previously reported that a deal between the two parties was in the works, but nothing had been made official until now.
McAfee spent 8 years with the Colts, before retiring from football in 2016.
Editor’s Opinion:
I don’t know much about this guy, but if he’s happy and WWE is interested, I say go for it!
