Thought that the beast was gone? Think again. Tonight at the 2018 edition of Hell In A Cell, Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to the company. He entered the cell during the main event match for the Universal Championship between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
The last time that The Beast was mentioned on WWE programming, his advocate, Paul Heyman was being told that he would not receive a Universal Championship rematch at Hell In A Cell. You can see a clip of that below:
From WWE.com:
The Beast Incarnate, who lost the Universal Title to Reigns at SummerSlam (and had been denied the rematch he wanted at WWE Hell in a Cell), kicked open the door and attacked both champion and challenger, reducing a chunk of a table to splinters across their backs before laying both out with F-5s — Reigns landing on top of Strowman. Paul Heyman, meanwhile, incapacitated Foley with what looked like pepper spray to the face, leaving the replacement ref no choice but to call off the match. So Strowman’s cash-in fails. Reigns’ big defense ends in ruins. And Brock Lesnar is ready and willing to unleash hell on anyone who’s anywhere near the Universal Championship.
Editor’s Opinion:
Even I have to admit that I was shocked by this. Once again, WWE has done a brilliant job of keeping Lesnar’s status a secret and I was so focused on the result of this match that I didn’t see the return coming. I’ve said in the past that Lesnar is still a draw, even in 2018, and I stand by that statement. This is going to be good.
