WWE has announced that Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix will be joining Corey Graves and Michael Cole on the commentary team for the upcoming “Mixed Match Challenge” that will be airing on Facebook Live later this month. She tweeted about it, confirming the news:
.@WWE I’m honored to be a part of this historic experience alongside pros @WWEGraves and @MichaelCole #HeadsetRookie #MixedMatchChallenge https://t.co/GNaN0yHNtv

Phoenix was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017, and offered a nice tribute to her husband, Edge, which you can see below:
The “Glamazon” had quite a storied career in WWE, with some memorable moments. Some of them include eliminating The Great Khali from the 2010 “Royal Rumble” match and Glam Slamming Eve from the top rope at the 2011’s “Survivor Series.”
As previously noted, the “Mixed Match Challenge” will consist of 12 episodes that will see the winners of the single-elimination mixed tag team tournament win $100, 000 to support any charity of their choice.
Storylines for the matches are to be built using videos and other content across the various WWE social media pages. Each episode is 20-minute episode will be filmed in the same venue that WWE films the episode of ‘Smackdown Live’ that airs before it. It will rely heavily on fan interaction online.
Editor’s Opinion:
Yes! I have always thought that she was one of the top female competitors of all time, and this will be a welcome and wonderful addition to the commentary team!
