Bayley won’t have to wait long for her debut match on Netflix. She will face Nia Jax in a rematch of their SummerSlam encounter tonight in Dallas, Texas. This match was approved by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, considering Jax is still a member of the Blue Brand’s roster.
Bayley, WWE’s flagship show’s star, visited Raw last week, which was held in her hometown of San Jose, California. During her appearance, she engaged in a conversation with Adam Pearce, and the first hint of a potential roster change was revealed.
Now that the move is officially confirmed, it marks a fresh start for Bayley following her unsuccessful attempt to win the WWE Women’s Championship from Tiffany Stratton in the main event of SmackDown last Friday.
This move also creates an intriguing dynamic as Bayley reunites with her former Damage CTRL teammates, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, as well as Kairi Sane and Asuka, once they recover from their injuries.
Editor’s Opinion:
I didn’t see this move coming, but it makes sense. Losing cleanly to Tiffany Stratton on Smackdown signaled that she wouldn’t be in the title picture on the Blue Brand, so you might as well move her over to Raw. Plus, putting her back on the same show as her former stablemates could lead to some new feuds. I dig it!
