We know more. Last night on NXT, Ethan Page debuted with the company, attacking Trick Williams in the show’s final segment. But what are the details surrounding his debut?

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, there were no sightings of Page backstage or at rehearsals throughout the day. Page, who is under contract with WWE, has left uncertainty about whether he obtained his release or if his AEW contract lapsed. He had indicated to industry insiders his intention to explore free agency by late spring. Page had hoped to keep his move under wraps until he resurfaced elsewhere, though it remains ambiguous whether he was eyeing NXT. The agreement was recently finalized, with a discreet visit to the Performance Center reportedly occurring within the past week.

Page had most recently been with AEW/ROH from 2021 until May of this year.

Editor’s Opinion:

I am happy that this is happening, and think that it is a great move for him. He was one of the few shining stars in AEW and I think a fresh start will allow him to thrive more than he already has. He is good on the microphone, and in the ring, and will have a great match with several competitors in the future.
