The health of current WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan has been a major talking point amongst fans and within the company these days.
Bryan was recently pulled from WWE’s European tour that began on April 10 and concluded on April 20 as a precautionary measure.
He wrestled at the April 14 “Smackdown” tapings in a tag team match with John Cena, but was later pulled from all overseas events shortly thereafter.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter was informed by those on the tour that Bryan had suffered a concussion during a match with Sheamus two weeks ago.
Since then, Bryan has been regulated to working matches with multiple superstars to keep his action to the bare minimum.
Meltzer than followed that report up on Wrestling Observer Radio by saying that even though he was told Bryan had a concussion, WWE is saying that it’s not the case.
The problem in question has not been confirmed. All WWE officials are willing to tell him is that Bryan “is banged up.”
Editor’s Note
Concussion or not, it’s clear as day that something is wrong with Bryan. The idea to bring him back at the “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view in January now looks stupid on WWE’s part.
