Ring of Honor star Tommaso Ciampa has announced his departure from the company.

He revealed the news through his official Twitter account @projectciampa on Sunday:

No further information has been given on why the two parties have decided to part ways.

29-year-old Ciampa is a former Ring of Honor Television Champion, the sixth in the history of the company. He held the strap for 111 days.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked Ciampa at No. 67 on the annual PWI 500.

Editor’s Note

Huge loss for Ring of Honor, but they have a relatively deep roster that should compensate. I’ve always been a fan of Ciampa’s work and the role he had with the company. I expect to see him at PWG shows and other independents he’s notorious for working moving forward. Still sucks that I won’t be able to catch his stuff in ROH. We here at WrestlingRumors.net will have more details when they emerge.
