According to an exclusive report by WrestlingInc.com, TNA Wrestling has received an offer from Discovery Network’s Velocity Channel to air “Impact” in the future.

It’s an HD only channel that’s available in over 48 million homes.

As the report notes, the rights fee is less than a quarter of what TNA is making on the SPIKE network. They’d have to find other means to making revenue in order to make a deal with Velocity viable.

The company is relieved that a deal is on the table, although they’re disappointed with the value they’d be receiving.

TNA management hopes that this will open the door for other networks to step in and make offers of their own.

We here at WrestlingRumors.net reported on Sunday afternoon that TNA had found a network, albeit a very small one. Since the network in question wasn’t revealed, there’s always a chance that Velocity is the aforementioned new home.

Editor’s Note

An offer is an offer. TNA needs to be extra careful in how they handle this proposal. It’s better than nothing, right? I doubt there will be many more takers.
