According to a report by PWInsider.com, Sting will be making an appearance during the March 16 edition of “Monday Night Raw” in Des Moines, Iowa.
He will be continuing the build for his match with Triple H at WrestleMania 31 on March 29.
While he didn’t appear live during “Raw” on March 9, he was featured in a video package where he talked for the very first time, although his voice was clearly altered.
Dave Meltzer of “Wrestling Observer Radio” revealed that WWE was trying to give Sting a “Black Scorpion” feel, who was a character used during the early 90’s in World Championship Wrestling.
The altered voice was used to hide the identity of Ole Anderson, although the character ultimately turned out to be “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
WWE is also rumored to be bringing in scarecrows for an extravagant entrance at WrestleMania 31, although it’s not yet confirmed whether that will be for Sting or Bray Wyatt in his match with Undertaker.
Editor’s Note
There are only two more “Raw” episodes left until WrestleMania 31. It’s best for Sting to show up for each show to really cement his match with Triple H. It’s hard to conjure up a stellar build for a one-on-one bout when one of the participants isn’t around on a regular basis.
