A recent lawsuit filed by World Wrestling Entertainment in the state of California to prevent vendors from selling unlicensed merchandise outside of WrestleMania 31 revealed WWE’s future schedule for the remainder of the year.
The following are dates for all NXT tapings and “NXT Takeover” specials from April 23rd through Nov. 19:
* Thursday April 23rd – NXT TV tapings
* Wednesday, May 20th – NXT live special
* Thursday, May 21st – NXT TV tapings
* Thursday, June 18th – NXT TV tapings
* Thursday, July 16th – NXT TV tapings
* Wednesday, August 12th – NXT live special
* Thursday, August 13th – NXT TV tapings
* Thursday, September 10th – NXT TV tapings
* Wednesday, October 7th – NXT live special
* Thursday, October 8th – NXT TV tapings
* Thursday, October 22nd – NXT TV tapings
* Thursday, November 19th – NXT TV tapings
With there being no dates after November, that could be a sign of the NXT brand expanding or WWE failing to have dates confirmed at that time with Full Sail University.
WWE recently sent out a press release confirming that the “NXT Takeover” specials would begin airing monthly on the WWE Network.
Unfortunately, it was later proven that the live specials will continue airing on a quarterly basis due to the company printing false information.
Editor’s Note
May 20th can’t come soon enough. The “NXT Takeover” specials are can’t-miss programming.
