On the Aug. 25 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” WWE aired a video package of Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman putting down John Cena and his chances of winning their rematch at “Night of Champions.”
Lesnar and Heyman will appear once again through a pre-taped package on Sept. 1.
WWE.com is hyping that Cena will respond to the champions comments during an in-ring segment.
There’s even a chance that he doesn’t work WWE “Hell in a Cell” on Oct. 26 in Dallas to help cut back on the amount of dates he works. There are talks of having Roman Reigns and Triple H compete in the main event inside the steel structure, although that hasn’t been confirmed.
He is in fact advertised to work the final “Friday Night SmackDown” before “Hell in a Cell,” though.
Lesnar will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a rematch from his one-sided “SummerSlam” beatdown of Cena once again at “Night of Champions” on Sept. 21.
Editor’s Note
After last weeks train wreck of a “Monday Night Raw,” having Lesnar appear live would have been a nice shot in the arm. His appearances will be few and far between, though. Get used to it.
