Dave Meltzer of PWInsider.com was first to report that Destination America will be cancelling TNA Wrestling, with the last airing taking place during the end of September.
The network reportedly regretted signing TNA to a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal after soon realizing the programming would never be able to justify the price tag.
It appears that Destination America will be taking full advantage of a clause in the contract that will allow them to back out in September. The ratings upon TNA’s debut were respectable, but it’s all been downhill ever since.
The decision to cancel TNA was made prior to the network announcing “Impact Wrestling” moving from Friday nights to Wednesday nights.
TNA’s Bob Ryder took to social media to respond to the cancellation reports:
For almost 13 years some people have predicted we were about to go out of business. It’s no more true today than it was then. #StandUp

Ryder appears to be talking more about TNA folding as a company, though, rather than Destination America cancelling the show.
Editor’s Note
It’s difficult to imagine TNA finding another network after the Destination America fiasco. Even if they do, they’ll experience the same problems they’re having now with people not being invested in the show as a whole. R.I.P.
