Current WWE Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett has arguably the biggest title defense of his career awaiting him on March 29 at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, California.
His championship belt will be hanging above the ring as six other superstars look to pull it down and end his reign that’s been ongoing since Jan. 5.
The challengers include Daniel Bryan, Stardust, Luke Harper, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose.
Barrett recently sat down with Sky Sports in the United Kingdom to help promote his bout.
He was asked why he’s stopped giving his “I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news promos,” which have been one of the more popular aspects of his character.
Barrett revealed that WWE officials asked him to stop delivering said promos because fans were joining in and reciting the line along with him. As a heel, that’s the last thing you want the WWE Universe to do.
He did tease, however, that he could be bringing back the promo following WrestleMania 31 on Sunday.
