Effort, dedication, and creativity are all qualities that Paul Heyman possessed. From day one, this man put his all into creating a promotion like no other.

Heyman’s love for the business was absolutely unique. He had followed been a wrestling fan since his youth, but he wasn’t always pleased with the industry’s overall status. When he became more professional, he wanted to establish a promotion that turned away from traditional wrestling, like a counterculture.

In order to achieve success, Heyman introduced his roster to distinctive wrestling styles. Well it wasn’t called Extreme Championship Wrestling for nothing; wrestlers would physically punish their opponents, often with the use of weapons. At the time, this hardcore approach was out of the ordinary, but the crowd was amused by the blood. Sometimes, fans even brought their weapons for the stars to use. Thanks to Heyman, crowd involvement became another clear-cut aspect of ECW.

Members of the ECW roster did not always like Heyman, but they always respected him. This is because he truly cared about them, and dedicated his career to them. Both professionally and creatively, wrestlers knew they could always count on their boss.

Not only did he cherish his wrestlers, Heyman also paid close attention to ECW’s fans. Heyman made it clear that without the fans, ECW would not have been successful.
