Former WWE on-screen personality Jonathan Coachman may be returning to the company in some fashion, reports Wrestling Observer, in the latest edition of its newsletter. Coachman had a nine year tenure with WWE from 1999-2008. Coachman departed from WWE in 2008 to go work for ESPN, where he currently serves as an anchor for “SportsCenter” and does radio work for the network.
During this week, Coachman teased something between himself and WWE on Twitter. Below are some of his tweets:

Additionally, WWE recently profiled Coachman on WWE.com in its latest “Where Are They Now?” piece.
In the newsletter, Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE and Coachman appear to be very close on a deal that would be more of a part-time deal, presumably having Coachman work for both WWE and ESPN. The two sides have reportedly discussed a deal in which Coachman would do in-studio wraparounds for the company. Another idea being discussed would see Coachman featured on the WWE Network, on a WWE talk-show.
Editor’s Note
I am all for Jonathan Coachman returning to WWE in some capacity. I enjoyed his past work in WWE and see him occasionally now on ESPN when he is anchoring “SportsCenter.” His work with the network is nothing short of his work in WWE, as he is still a tremendous talent.
