The buyrate numbers for WWE’s two October pay-per-views, WWE Battleground and WWE Hell in a Cell, are in. According to F4WOnline, the two pay-per-views combined for 334,000 buys, an average of 167,000 buys each. Hell in a Cell topped the inaugural WWE Battleground as the former had 205,000 buys. This means that Battleground garnered about 129,000 buys.

Hell in a Cell was up 6,000 buys from last year, but it is unclear whether the company will view the small increase as good news due to the presence of WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels in the main event. On the other hand, WWE Battleground will likely not be viewed positively as its 129,000 worldwide buys is one of the lowest buyrates for a WWE pay-per-view since the 2011 edition of Over the Limit.
