Peter Young, Hulk Hogan’s current agent recently spoke to ProWrestling.net about Hulk Hogan’s involvement in the upcoming WWE 2K14 video game. The game will be released in North America on October 29 as well as internationally on the first of November. According to Young, Hogan had made a deal with THQ back in 2008, when THQ was involved with WWE video games. Young went on to tell the site that 2KSports simply exercised a renewal option that was in Hogan’s 2008 deal. Since 2KSports purchased the WWE video game license earlier this year, they picked up Hogan’s contract with THQ.

These comments by Young confirm part of Eric Bischoff’s comments about WWE utilizing past trademarks and assets to get Hogan in the game. However, Bischoff’s remarks about Hulk Hogan not having a deal with 2KSports are false,  if Young’s comments are true. While a new deal was not made between 2KSports and Hogan, the two sides still have that existing contract between each other dating back from 2008.

WWE 2K14 will feature two playable Hulk Hogan characters throughout the new “30 Years of WrestleMania Mode.” The two characters are a “Real American” version of Hulk Hogan that was made famous during the 1980s, as well as “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan, a character made famous in WCW during the mid 90s. This new “30 Years of WrestleMania Mode” already has a lot of information about it. The roster, trailer, twelve of the forty-five playable matches, as well as bits and pieces of gameplay have been revealed or released.
