Latest on Sting’s Status for WrestleMania XXX and Following “Raw”

As we previously reported, WCW legend Sting will indeed be in New Orleans, La., the location of WrestleMania XXX, during WrestleMania weekend. On the day of WrestleMania, Sting will be appearing at the annual WrestleCon event during WrestleMania weekend on location in “NOLA.” Sting will be appearing for three hours that day, but his appearance is of limited availability as only 250 people can attend.

In a recent report by F4WOnline, the website gave an update on Sting’s status for WrestleMania XXX and the post-WrestleMania XXX edition of “Monday Night Raw.” In the report, F4WOnline noted that people close to Sting have stated that Sting is not scheduled for an appearance for WrestleMania XXX or “Monday Night Raw” on the following night. Additionally, the report noted that WrestleCon is paying for a round-trip ticket for Sting to return home following the event.

As WrestleMania XXX continues to quickly approach, talk about Sting appearing for the event continues to increase among the WWE Universe. It was recently reported that Sting wants to have only one match in WWE, presumably at WrestleMania 31 against none other than The Undertaker, then leading to Sting’s retirement in 2015. Because of these reports, some believe that Sting will debut at WrestleMania XXX, building towards a match with The Undertaker for about a year, similar to the build for John Cena vs. The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII.

Editor’s Note

I believe that Sting’s WrestleCon appearance is simply a coincidence and is not related to a possible debut with WWE in the near future. While I do think that Sting will debut in WWE on the first “Monday Night Raw” after WrestleMania XXX, or even WrestleMania itself, the WrestleCon appearance is something that Sting may have done even if he were still with TNA.
