As we previously reported, WWE made Hulk Hogan’s return to WWE official as Hogan will host WrestleMania XXX. On the same day, Friday, Feb. 21, Hulk Hogan was at the WWE Performance Center, confirming that he will appear on the Feb. 24 “Monday Night Raw.” During his time at WWE Performance Center, Hogan was in his traditional red and yellow Hulkamania attire.
Shortly after WWE made the news official, Sports Illustrated published an interview with Hulk Hogan. In the article, it is noted that in addition to appearing on the Feb. 24 “Monday Night Raw,” Hogan will also appear on “WWE Raw Backstage Pass,” which will air live on WWE Network at 11:05 p.m. EST, after “Monday Night Raw” goes off the air.
Hogan told the Associated Press the following regarding his WWE return:
“I definitely want to stay here in the WWE. I just can’t see myself ever being anywhere else. This is home. It always has been home. In the twilight of my career, what a great way to be part of the final hurrah for Hulk Hogan and all the Hulkamaniacs.”
The 60 year-old Hogan also commented on the possibility of him wrestling at WrestleMania XXX:
“Right now, it’s not in the plans. But like they say in the WWE, never say never.”
WWE COO Triple H also spoke on the situation:
“It’s time for him to come home. I don’t think there’s ever been a doubt that Hulk Hogan was, in some way, a WWE commodity.”
The Hulkster also talked a little bit about his time away from WWE, spending the past four years with TNA:
”It looks like this was always the direction I was going to go in. It’s like I drifted apart from home base for a while. But this time, everything seems to be a perfect fit.”
