On Thursday, Feb. 12, WWE taped episodes of “NXT,” its developmental promotion, which will air in February and March. The tapings come the day after NXT’s latest live special, “NXT TakeOver: Rival,” which saw a new NXT Champion crowned.
During the tapings, former WWE and ECW star Rhyno returned to the company, appearing on the Feb. 18 showing of “NXT.” The three-time WWE Hardcore Champion returned to a huge pop, defeating Elias Samson with “Gore.”
Below are some fan photos from Rhyno’s appearance:

Following a tenure of about three years in Ring of Honor, Rhyno returned to TNA in 2014. His latest run in TNA spanned just under four months. Initially, his return saw him align himself with Dixie Carter in the middle of June. Towards the end of his run, Rhyno turned face, feuding with Ethan Carter III, EC3.
Editor’s Note
This Rhyno chap looks like he’s destined for a huge future in WWE, huh? I wonder if Rhyno’s return was just a one-off for these television tapings, or if he will be returning to WWE and NXT in some capacity, whether it be as a competitor, trainer, or whatever it may be. Perhaps he will wrestle Finn Bálor at these tapings, based on the backstage segment between the two.
