The Carroll County Times, a newspaper based out of Maryland, recently interviewed WWE Superstar Cesaro in preparation for “Monday Night Raw” coming to Baltimore on April 21. During the interview, Cesaro talked about a number of topics such as his “Cesaro Swing,” other WWE Superstars that can bench more than him, among other topics.
The newest “Paul Heyman Guy” talked about the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX, which he won:
“Every wrestling fan knows about Andre the Giant, especially growing up in Europe. He was such a huge icon, and it was an honor to be the first Andre the Giant battle royal winner. I think it was a nice way to pay tribute to Andre.”
The “King of Swing” also talked about how he lifts for functionality, not to lift the most weight when at the gym:
“If someone can bench press more than me, so what? I don’t care. How does that help me to be better in the ring?”
Cesaro also talked about his “Cesaro Swing,” noting that it helped get him over with the WWE Universe:
“It’s one of those things, you see it in movies, you see it in comic books, it’s something a superhero would do. “I’m like a real life superhero.”

Editor’s Note
This is a good interview by Cesaro, as he prepares to face Rob Van Dam in the second-round of the tournament which will determine the number-one contender for the Intercontinental Championship on Monday, April 21. Check it out!
