Backstage News on Vickie Guerrero's WWE Departure

As seen on the June 23 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” former “Smackdown” General Manager Vickie Guerrero was fired. Despite her firing, Vickie still left WWE on top. After Stephanie McMahon threw Vickie into a “pudding pool,” winning the match that Stephanie had set up, Vickie threw Stephanie into the pool, exacting revenge. Vickie also honored her late husband Eddie Guerrero throughout the night, receiving some of the loudest cheers in her career. Despite Vickie leaving WWE, she was still pleased afterwards, commenting through social media.

PWInsider has recently published a report on the matter, noting that Vickie Guerrero is done with WWE and will not be returning in the near future. As noted in the past, Vickie informed WWE of her desires to leave before WrestleMania XXX. Though, she ended up staying longer than original plans called for. Her motivations for leaving was due to the fact that she wanted to take her next step in life. She left WWE on good terms, and may be part of special cameos in the future.

In regards to what transpired on “Monday Night Raw,” PWInsider noted that Vickie had some input on her segment with Stephanie McMahon. In particular, she wanted to honor Eddie Guerrero. This is why she brought him up, used his catchphrases, and entered to his theme music.

It’s definitely a shame to see Vickie leave, as she was a tremendous heel. We all wish her the best in her future, and it’s glad to see her leave on good terms. The tribute to Eddie was fantastic and a great way to have Vickie leave on top.
