When Cody Rhodes was eliminated by Goldust at the 2014 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, some thought that it would signal the immediate end to “The Brotherhood.” However, according to F4WOnline, the split between the two will likely occur at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. At the pay-per-view, it is expected the two will be involved in the WWE Tag Team Championship match.
The current plans call for the two Rhodes brothers to square of against each other at WrestleMania XXX, although Goldust has recently stated that he does not want to face his brother at WrestleMania anymore. Additionally, the website is reporting that Goldust will remain as WWE talent through SummerSlam. The original deal had Goldust as an active talent through WrestleMania XXX, but the deal was extended. After SummerSlam, it is expected that Goldust will work as a backstage agent.
Cody Rhodes and Goldust will look to reclaim the WWE Tag Team Championship on the Feb. 3 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” as they will face WWE Tag Team Champions Road Dogg and Billy Gunn in a Steel Cage match.
