WWE has been trying to push Roman Reigns as their new top babyface for roughly three years now, and most of the fans still haven’t accepted him as the company’s top good guy. But, like they’ve done with John Cena, WWE hasn’t given up on Reigns as a face, and it doesn’t look like a heel turn is near.

On Friday, Reigns, who is set to battle The Undertaker on Sunday, told Chris Jericho that he’s not interested in becoming a heel, and he explained why.

“The thing is, if I turn heel, I’m just gonna do what’s already been done,” said Reigns during his appearance on Talk is Jericho. “Why not just be me? No one’s ever been like me. This is uncharted territory. I could be anything I want it to be, so why put myself on one side of it? Why not just dabble? Why not have the full range?”

As previously mentioned, Reigns is scheduled to wrestle The Undertaker on Sunday, where he’ll likely be booed. There’s a chance that this could be The Deadman’s retirement match, and if it is, Reigns will probably emerge as the winner, which will only make things worse for the ex-Shield member.
