In just a few hours, NXT Takeover: Dallas will be going live, and it’s going to be one hell of a show. The show is guaranteed to have many big moments, including some debuts.
The King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura will be making his NXT and WWE debut against Sami Zayn in what will most likely be his swan song match in the brand he helped build.
It’s going to be a great match with a lot of emotion, and it’ll be a big moment of watching the past of NXT move on to greener pastures while the future of NXT enters simultaneously.
However, everyone is so excited about Shinsuke’s debut and NXT Takeover: Dallas in general that no one has asked if we’ll be seeing the real King of Strong Style in NXT.
According to PWMania.com, he’ll be going through at least a name change, and it’s likely he’ll be going through some gimmick changes as well. The following photo has been seen around Dallas as Takeover looms.
Just in case, you skipped over the link, he’ll be going by the name “Nakamura” in NXT, which is not a big deal. In many cases, WWE likes to have their competitors utilize only one name.
That name will still be able to transcend over to Japan and allow him to keep his full name if he ever wrestles outside of the WWE umbrella again.
Either way, tonight is going to be a big night for wrestling and especially for Nakamura.
What do you think of the name change?
