Almost two months ago, Daniel Bryan went on Monday Night Raw in Seattle and announced his retirement from professional wrestling. It was an emotional night and WWE even made a very good WWE Network special about Bryan’s retirement.
However, WWE has pulled Bryan from all of their events at his request for “time off.” Bryan isn’t even going to be in Dallas for an of this weekend’s festivities, but there is a rumor going around that it’s all for a specific reason.
According to DailyWrestlingNews.com, it’s possible that Daniel Bryan may be attempting to get out of his contract with the company and has refused to make any appearance whatsoever until an agreement is reached.
It’s being said that he’s keeping his intentions very close to the chest, and he’s avoiding anything to do with WWE. The belief is that despite serious health issues that forced him to “retire” with WWE, he’s still trying to get back into the ring elsewhere.
Apparently, New Japan Pro Wrestling is extremely interesting in offering Bryan a lot of money if he becomes a free agent. A return to the ring for Bryan would be a game changer, and NJPW is going to want to scoop him up after WWE’s recent raid of a great deal of their talents.
It’s also being said that Daniel Bryan just wants out of his contract, and has no desire to return to the ring because his injuries are legitimate. He simply wants to be free of his obligations to the company. He wants to have his freedom. However, with rumors like this one going around, you can’t blame WWE officials for not taking Daniel Bryan’s word for it.
Do you want to see Daniel Bryan wrestle again, or is his health too much of a risk?
