Unfortunately, all the rumors to this point have been about big name superstars such as Stone Cold, Batista, and The Rock. There are several WWE superstars that we haven’t heard a peep of speculation about, and the biggest name on my list is Cesaro.
Earlier this week, I tricked myself into thinking it was Cesaro’s time. However, Cesaro and Roman Reigns had the best match of the night as expected. Cesaro had the best match on Raw AGAIN.
It seems WWE has no plans to push the “Swiss Superman” any further than being the gatekeeper for everyone else to make it to the main event. Cesaro is probably going to be featured in the traditional “Survivor Series” match on Sunday that may or may not end up on the pre-show.
However, something else happened on Raw that got me thinking about Cesaro in a different way. I think I’ve figured out a way to push Cesaro to the next level and make him a star at Wrestlemania 32.
Cesaro vs. Triple H

There it is. Another classic “imaginary brass ring” speech from WWE management. It’s always the same speech with tiny tedious variations. It’s not as bad as Vince McMahon telling the entire WWE Universe that Cesaro lacks the “it factor”, but it’s still the same speech that Cesaro had to swallow before putting over Reigns.
With this promo, at least WWE acknowledged that Cesaro is super over right now. We all understand why WWE chose Reigns over Cesaro, but Triple H is shockingly accurate about one thing. We have seen too many guys like Cesaro. Regarding talent, he’s superior to most but he lacks that extra step and opportunity to take it.
I stand by what I said, it’s Cesaro’s time to take that step, but to take that step in wrestling, you need to win a big match against a great opponent. That’s what Cesaro needs. 2015 has been a fantastic year for him, but he’s missing that huge win to elevate him.
Cesaro has taken on Cena, Owens, Reigns, and more without a win to show for his talent and effort. That’s the only thing holding him back. If he won a major match right now, the fans would rejoice and follow him. WWE fans clearly want him to succeed, and many of his fans blame The Authority as he the reason he’s being held back.
I think Cesaro’s rise to the top is a story that tells itself. Cesaro vs. Triple H at Wrestlemania 32 is how the King of Swing becomes a main event player. It’s how Cesaro gets what he deserves. I think a win over The Game is exactly what Cesaro needs to go from being where he is now to becoming the WWE Champion.
That “brass ring” promo did everything WWE needs to ignite this feud. It’s the story of the fan favorite facing off against the WWE system. That’s WWE’s oldest trick in the book. Cesaro’s name would be placed in the same conversation as Stone Cold, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan. That’s a great class to be a part of in WWE history.
Over the next few months, The Authority tries to break Cesaro’s will. No matter what they throw at him, he keeps winning and sticking it to them. The fans get more and more invested in the “Swiss Superman”. Cesaro has a great showing in the Royal Rumble but is thwarted by The Authority.
The Authority will most likely have someone for Cesaro to feud with by then. That will by enough time for Cesaro to make it through “Fast Lane” and over the Road to Wrestlemania, it comes down to Triple H having to put Cesaro down once and for all. Cesaro vs. Triple H is a lock for Wrestlemania 32.
I’ll admit it is a very similar story to what we saw in 2014 with Daniel Bryan, but the story is different because the players are different. You also can’t tell me as a fan that Cesaro vs. Triple H wouldn’t be an amazing match.
Can you imagine the wrestling psychology and tension in the match?
What about The Game taking a Big Swing from The King of Swing?
What about the moment when Cesaro defeats Triple h on the grandest stage of them all?
I want Cesaro to be a superstar. Monday’s Raw showed me something I hadn’t thought of before. It should be the best way to give Cesaro the push he deserves and the big win at Wrestlemania that will thrust him into the WWE title picture permanently.
After a win over Triple H, he’d be WWE Champion by the end of 2016 and a top face in WWE. I think this is a very good idea to utilize Triple H to put over another great talent and make him a superstar in this business.
I’m not giving up on Cesaro anytime soon because wrestling is supposed to be a place where the cream rises to the top eventually.
Earlier this week, I asked, “When will it be Cesaro’s time?” It’s at Wrestlemania 32 against Triple H.
