Baron Corbin is a good talent. He’s improved a ton over the past year because he’s been working with veterans like Samoa Joe, Sami Zayn, and Finn Balor for all that time in NXT.

There was a lot of debate if it was the right time to bring him to the main roster from NXT in April, but winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal seemed like the start of a big push.

Since then, he’s been feuding with Dolph Ziggler and exchanging wins and losses with him. However, whatever the feud was going to do has been done at this point.

Corbin is young and feuding with a guy like Ziggler is good, but he’s starting to stagnate because the roster is so full. He’s most likely going to be a bigger heel on Raw or SmackDown after the brand split.

In the meantime, why not feud with someone like Cesaro? It’s unlikely that he’s going to walk away with the “Money in the Bank” briefcase. It would be amazing if he won it, but why not have Cesaro vs. Corbin if not?

Cesaro is a veteran who can continue to teach Corbin and give him some valuable wins to push his own career forward. If Cesaro isn’t going to be pushed, he may as well help a young kind like Corbin get better.
