When the question was brought up AJ, he said the following about his career and his family:
“At this point in my career, I’m going to go do what’s best for my family and I want to do what’s best to provide for them. So, the business that we’re in, the business could be better somewhere else, then that’s where I’m going to go. That’s what I’m going to do. So, like I said, it’s a business plan. Wherever the plan takes me, that’s where I’ll go.”
Last night, there was a report that several former TNA superstars were backstage at last night’s NXT tapings. One of the rumored talents that could have been backstage was AJ Styles.
However, those rumors have turned out to be false, but some very exciting news has come out about AJ Styles contract situation.
According to The Wrestling Observer, AJ Styles is no longer under contract with Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, or any other wrestling promotion and he is free to wrestle as he chooses and for who he chooses.
He is currently slated for the main event of ROH Final Battle next month against Jay Lethal. AJ is also slated in an enormous match against Shinsuke Nakamura at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 10 in January.
As of this writing, there is no confirmed news of AJ Styles signing with anyone, but we’ll be updating the situation with any news that comes along on Styles future in wrestling.
