It’s his thing. There are several people who work backstage to make WWE events that much better. Several of these people are former wrestlers themselves, as they are brought back into the company after their in-ring careers are over. You will occasionally see them showing up on television for various reasons, and now we are seeing that again. It just happens to be rather personal.

In recent weeks, Lexis King has been attempting to turn over a more positive leaf in NXT. This has earned him a shot at the Heritage Cup this coming week, though he had to find a corner man. This weekend at Halloween Havoc, King had yet to find a corner man but William Regal interfered, saying he would be the corner man, citing his friendship with King’s father Brian Pillman. Regal is the father of Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey.
This should be interesting. Check out the interaction and King in WWE:
Opinion: This is quite the change of pace for the story and that is a good thing. Regal very well could turn on King in a hurry, or he could be trying to teach his son a lesson. That opens up more than a few options and I’m curious to see where it goes. If nothing else, it is nice to see Regal getting to do something in NXT where he has such a long and established history.
