WATCH: Top TNA Star Makes Surprise Appearance In NXT, Yells At Shawn Michaels

He appeared. Under the company’s new ownership, WWE has been much more willing to allow its wrestlers to appear elsewhere and vice versa. It has been quite the game changer for a lot of stars, as they are able to wrestle for WWE, even in a one off moment. That is what we have been seeing recently and we saw it again this week with a rather special surprise.

This week’s NXT opened with a battle royal to crown a new #1 contender to the NXT Title. TNA star Joe Hendry appeared as a surprise entrant and did his full entrance, with the fans singing his song. Hendry was the first man eliminated from the match, lasting less than thirty seconds. Following his elimination, Hendry appeared backstage and accused Shawn Michaels of causing his elimination. Hendry threatened to appear on any show, because all the people have to do is say his name. He was not the only Impact Wrestling star involved in the battle royal, as Frankie Kazarian was included as well.

Opinion: There are time where you know you are seeing something special and that was the case here. It is clear that the fans are behind Hendry and that is not something you can fake for a wrestler. While he is likely going to be sticking around TNA for the time being, it would not shock me at all to see him show up in NXT, or even WWE, almost as soon as possible.
