Welcome back? There are all kinds of ways to present stars in wrestling and occasionally you will see someone have quite the change of pace. Someone might debut a new character and go in a very different direction, but in some cases it will be a return to a previous identity. That is what took place this week, though it came after something of a strange move.

In recent weeks, Toni Storm has had a cast of amnesia, resulting in her not remembering any of her time in AEW. This week on Collision, Storm went face to face with Mariah May, who attacked Storm and left her laying. Before May left the arena though, Storm got up and revealed that she remembered everything and that Timeless Toni Storm was back. Storm is set to challenge May for the Women’s Title next month at Grand Slam: Australia.

Opinion: This is something that was somewhat obvious in recent weeks as Storm was in her greatest performance by not acknowledging her own past. It made for a nice moment here and it sets up their big rematch in Australia, where Storm very well may be able to get the title back. This wasn’t so much about a big shocking moment, but rather about getting something covered after knowing it was coming.
