WATCH: Shawn Michaels Addresses Controversial NXT Storyline, Major Update Coming

Let’s talk about it. There are all kinds of ways to present a wrestling story, some of which are more interesting than others. You will occasionally see something presented in a different way and that can make for quite the special situation. That is what we are seeing again in NXT, but the catch is no one has spoken about it yet. That all changed this week in a big way.

Over the last several weeks, NXT’s Brooks Jensen has spoken at length about how he is unhappy with his career, mainly speaking online and in social media. In addition, Jensen has appeared in NXT multiple times, without ever being acknowledged. This week on NXT, commentary spoke about the incidents, with executive Shawn Michaels speaking about the situation. Michaels explained that Jensen had taken issue with his status and was asked to leave when his drinking got out of control. In addition, Michaels invited Jensen to next week’s NXT to speak about the situation.

Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going but it is one of the most unique stories that WWE has presented in a good while. What matters is getting the most attention possible on the story, with Jensen being in an interesting situation. Hopefully it winds up going well, though the whole thing is going to depend on next week’s appearance. The stage is set to make it work though, and that makes things more interesting.
