WATCH: Grayson Waller Hijacks NXT, Calls Out Shawn Michaels To Meet Him

The tease continues. We are coming up on WrestleMania 39 weekend but there is more going on that weekend than just the two major events. In addition to WrestleMania, NXT presents one of its major events with the annual Stand & Deliver show, a rare moment of taking the show out of the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center. That means they need something big, and now they are teasing something else.

This week on NXT, Grayson Waller hijacked the show’s feed and called himself the new Main Event, Showstopper and Mr. Stand & Deliver. These are all either Shawn Michaels nicknames or close to them, with Waller inviting Michaels to meet him on the Grayson Waller Effect on the March 8 NXT. Waller and Michaels have been having issues in recent weeks, including Michaels suspending Waller for interrupting Michaels’ post-Vengeance Day media call. There is nothing to suggest that Michaels will be returning to the ring to face Waller.

Opinion: I don’t know what WWE has planned for Waller and Michaels, but they are teasing the heck out of the two of them facing off at Stand & Deliver. While I can’t imagine Michaels getting back in the ring at anything less than a major event, the act that he runs NXT and the show is going to need something special males the idea that much more possible. We’ll know a lot more in two weeks, but dang they have me wondering where this is going.
