Generational battle? There are certain types of wrestlers who get fans’ attention in a hurry every time they make an appearance. It might be due to the way they look or the way they move in the ring, but something about them makes the fans care about what they are doing. That is the case with current and former wrestlers, one of whom made a surprise appearance over the weekend.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Pain: Drew McIntyre Requires 16 Staples To Close Cut At Bad Blood
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther made a surprise appearance this weekend at Bad Blood. Gunther insulted WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg, who happened to be in the audience. This included speaking to Goldberg’s son, with Gunther saying that he hoped that Goldberg was a better father than he was a wrestler. Goldberg jumped the barricade but was held back by security. There is no word on if WWE is planning a match between the two. Goldberg last wrestled at Elimination Chamber 2022.
This could be something. Check out the segment, plus Goldberg in WWE:
Opinion: I’m not sure about this, as Goldberg’s most recent matches have not exactly gone great and now we are almost three years removed from his latest time in the ring. While I can get the appeal of something like this, it would seem to be a better fit to have Goldberg face someone lower on the ladder, whom he could wreck in short order for the same reaction. Maybe that is where this goes, but WWE is certainly teasing Goldberg vs. Gunther, which could be quite the stretch.
What do you think of the idea? Will Goldberg return to the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
