He’s new. There are all kinds of ways for a wrestler to debut in a new promotion and that can make for a nice surprise. One of the best ways is to have someone show up as an explanation for something that has been taking place, as it offers a surprise answer to a question that has been asked. That was the situation again this week as a new star showed up out of nowhere.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Fans Speculate Over WWE Superstar Returning On Monday Night Raw After A Year Away

The main event of this week’s NXT saw Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans defeat Gallus. Following the match, Lash Legend appeared and asked Williams if he had attacked her Meta Four teammates. Before Williams could answer, former TNA and AEW star Ethan Page debuted and revealed that he was the attacker. Page then held up the title to end the show. This comes less than a month after Page left AEW when his contract expired.

This should be interesting. Check out Page’s debut and his time elsewhere:

Opinion: This was quite the surprise and that is the perk of someone finishing out their contract rather than being released and having to deal with a no compete clause. Page might not be the top name coming out of AEW but he is someone that fans are going to know and now he is getting a chance. Maybe it doesn’t work, but what matters is that he is getting to show what he can do.

What do you think of Page’s debut? How will he do in NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
