That didn’t last long. There are all kinds of titles in wrestling today but it can still mean a lot to have a title change hands. This could be either a first time title win or someone getting the title back after losing it for a little while. Either one can be a big deal and that was the case again this week, though in this situation there might be something bigger going on.

This week on NXT, Chase U lost the NXT Tag Team Titles to Tony D’Angelo and Stacks, the team Chase U defeated to win the titles three weeks ago at Halloween Havoc. The loss comes amid a storyline involving an unspecified scandal at Chase U, with Andre Chase saying he is cooperating fully with an investigation. Several members of the Chase U student section walked out during the match.

Opinion: I’m not wild on the idea of Chase U losing the titles so soon after winning them in the first place. They had taken so long to actually win anything of value and then their reign only lasted three weeks. That isn’t exactly a long time with the gold but it does seem like this is part of a bigger story for them. Hopefully they can get this settled down, because they are way too popular to turn out of nowhere like this.
