It can happen to anyone. Injuries are one of the few universal issues in wrestling as they can happen to anyone at any given time. Someone can be in the middle of a match and get hurt in the blink of an eye, which can lead to some drastic changes. Some of them are not as bad as others though, and thankfully that appears to be the case with a recent injury to a new champion.

The main event of last week’s AEW Collision saw the Patriarchy defeat the Bang Bang Gang to win the vacant Trios Titles. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Patriarchy’s Killswitch suffered an arm injury during the match, though he is expected to work through it. There is no word on how the injury took place or how severe it might be. It is not clear when Killswitch is expected to wrestle next. This was one of two injuries on the show, as Skye Blue was also hurt.
He’s a monster. Check out the match plus more from Killswitch:
Opinion: While things are not as good as they could be, they certainly could be worse in a case like this. The fact that Killswitch is expected to be able to wrestle through his injury makes me think that it isn’t a horrible situation, which is at least something of a positive. The titles are already in a weird place due to being vacated and having another injury issue would only make it worse.
