The company has several stars who only appear when their schedules allow them to do so, making their appearances that much more interesting. That is what we have been seeing recently, but now one of those names is on his way back home in a painful way.

This week on AEW Collision, Chris Jericho and the Learning Tree announced that Tomohiro Ishii will be returning to his native Japan. The announcement came before the camera pulled back to reveal Ishii down with a chair around his head. This is part of the Learning Tree vs. Conglomeration feud, with Ishii being a member of the latter. There is no word on when Ishii will return to AEW TV.

Opinion: This is something that was always going to happen as Ishii lives in Japan, which means he was not going to be around permanently for AEW. It is a good sign that the company was smart enough to use his departure to put someone else over, as there will be heat on the Learning Tree for taking him out. It should also lead to a match when Ishii returns, with a story already set.
