Images can be deceiving. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster but like any wrestling promotion, there is always the chance that someone might want to try their hand elsewhere. That can make for some interesting situations when a wrestler’s contract comes up. We are seeing that again, and despite a recent return, things might not be exactly as they seem.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Switching: WWE Makes Big Announcement On Upcoming Broadcasting Changes
Over the weekend at AEW All In, Daniel Garcia made a surprise return and costing Maxwell Jacob Friedman the America’s Title against Will Ospreay. This comes after Garcia had been removed from AEW TV as his contract is set to expire at some point in October. According to PWInsider.com, Garcia has still not signed a new deal with AEW and is still in negotiations for a new agreement. WWE is also said to be interested in signing Garcia, though it is not clear if Garcia is interested in switching.
He’s good. Check out Garcia’s time in AEW:

Opinion: This is one of those situations which could go either way. I can get the idea of AEW wanting to wrap up the Garcia/Friedman story before Garcia’s deal expires and he leaves, but there is also the chance that the deal is all but set and just hasn’t been signed. Garcia is a talented guy and I could see both companies wanting to have him around. That might be what we are seeing, and good for him for getting that much attention.
What do you think of Garcia? Where should he sign next? Let us know in the comments below.
