They’re moving on. Professional wrestling is primarily a television medium these days but there is another aspect to the whole thing. In addition, there is the concept of attending the shows in person, which can make a huge difference in the promotion. Having poor ticket sales is not a great sign, and now an upcoming WE event is being changed as a result of not so great results.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Upcoming SmackDown Change Not Permanent?

Earlier this week, WWE announced that the October 8 edition of NXT has been moved from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri to the Factory At The District in Chesterfield, Missouri. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this change is due to poor ticket sales, as the show had 2,196 tickets out for the Enterprise Center, which holds 14,000 people. The new venue can hold 2,300 people and is currently set up for 1,715, with 1,129 tickets currently out.

They could be seeing something good. Check out what NXT has been doing:

Opinion: That has to be quite the hit for a lot of the people involved, as downgrading the show’s venue by such a large margin cannot feel good. That being said, it is better to move to a smaller venue rather than being in such a major location which would not come off as great on television. Hopefully the show winds up working as well as it can, because NXT has been going strong as of late.
