She’s ready. Injuries can take away any kind of momentum that a wrestler might have and there are often no ways around them. They can also derail plans that a promotion has for someone, which can lead to some very interesting returns later on when someone is ready to get back in the ring. Now it seems that we have already reached that moment, but there is a reason the wait continues.

Thunder Rosa has not wrestled since August 10, 2022 due to a back injury. The injury forced her to vacate her AEW Women’s Title, though she made an appearance on AEW Dynamite in June. According to a Fightful Select Q&A, Rosa is ready to return to the ring but is waiting on AEW creative to find a use for her. Rosa has been doing Spanish commentary for AEW television while she has been out of action.

Opinion: I’m not sure why AEW would be waiting to bring Rosa back to the ring any longer. She has been out of action for over fourteen months so why let that time go any longer? Hopefully she is able to return to action sooner than later as the division can certainly use the boost. Rosa is one of the more talented stars in AEW’s women’s division and it will be nice to have her back, whenever that is.
