Holdup: Interesting Details On Daniel Garcia's AEW Contract Status/Future

He’s out there. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers throughout the world and some of them are signed to the biggest wrestling promotions around today. It can be a big deal when one of them jumps over to another promotion, which can take place when a wrestler’s current contract expires. That is not quite the case with an AEW star, but things are starting to get a bit complicated.

According to Fightful Select, Daniel Garcia’s AEW contract is set to expire in October of this year. While it is believe that the two sides will come to terms on a new deal, that has not taken place so far. Garcia was written off of AEW TV in July after an attack by Maxwell Jacob Friedman due to his contract status. WWE is said to be interested in Garcia as well, though there is no word on if he is interested in jumping.

Opinion: This is one of the more interesting situations in wrestling right now as Garcia would seem to be a lock to sign with AEW again but he just hasn’t done it yet. Maybe that means he isn’t sure about sticking around or maybe that means there is something holding it up, but we are getting closer and closer to October and that could make things rather interesting in a hurry.
