Two for the price of one. Tuesday nights are turning into a very busy evening for WWE. Not only do they have the “Smackdown Live” two hour broadcast, but also the “Mixed Match Challenge” and then “205 Live”. Throw in a dark match before the shows begin and it’s a long night. That being said, this week’s edition was even more packed than usual.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, last night’s “Smackdown Live” taping ended with a pair of dark matches taking place after “205 Live” went off the air. These matches included Naomi and Becky Lynch defeating Carmella and Natalya along with Smackdown World Champion AJ Styles successfully defending his title against Jinder Mahal with the Phenomenal Forearm.
Opinion: Thank goodness this show was in California, which is likely the only reason the show ran this long. At this rate, with “205 Live” ending at about 11:15 EST, the evening likely wrapped up around 11:45. Then again that’s not even 9:00 in California so it’s more acceptable. At least the fans got their money’s worth.
