That’s not good. Injuries can devastate any wrestler at any time as there is always the chance that someone can get hurt at a moment’s notice. You never know when you are going to see someone put on the shelf, no matter what they had been doing. Now we have updates on a pair of injured wrestlers and what is going on with their recovery processes, neither of which sounds great.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Option C: WWE Had Very Different Plans For ECW Legend On Last Week’s NXT, Why Things Changed
Fightful Select by way of Cagesideseats.com has updates on a pair of injured AEW wrestlers. First, Willow Nightingale is believed to have suffered a concussion during the CMLL Women’s International Grand Prix. As a result, AEW has been forced to delay their creative plans for her and it is not clear when she will be back in the ring. Second, Skye Blue is recovering from ankle surgery and her progress isn’t “immediately optimistic.” It is not clear when she will be back but it is believed she “has a while” before she can return. Blue has not wrestled since July 20.
Those are some stars. Check out the two in action:
Opinion: That isn’t great to see but at the end of the day, it is better than having no update on either of them whatsoever. While Blue is not likely to be back for a good while, Nightingale could return in a hurry, depending on how severe the concussion seems to be. What matters is they are getting better, which means we are on the way to getting them back in the ring.
What do you think of the two of them? Which has the brighter future in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
